Historical data is retrieved from public APIs:

• History API: We use history.muffinlabs.com to fetch historical events, births, and deaths.
• Wikipedia Links: Event details link to Wikipedia articles for additional information.

Data Storage

All your preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. This includes:

• Theme preference (light/dark mode)
• View mode preference (normal/compact)
• Last selected date

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

Permissions

Our extension requests minimal permissions:

• Storage: To save your preferences locally on your device
• Host Permissions: To fetch historical data from history.muffinlabs.com

Third-Party Services

We use the following external services:

• history.muffinlabs.com: Provides historical event data. Please refer to their privacy policy for information about their data practices.
• Wikipedia: Event links redirect to Wikipedia for detailed information. Wikipedia has its own privacy policy.

Data Security
